Humans have lived on the Colorado River for thousand of years. All the river Yumans practiced floodwater agriculture, growing corn, beans, and squash in the rich silt deposited in the bottomlands by waters receding from floods.

Women wore skirts which they made out of willow bark. Men wore nothing or a loin cloth.
